best tech gifts 2019 under 50

The Paris Motor Show hosted the Citroen DS launch. The DS stood out among its competitors due to its single-spoke steering wheel, large glove compartment and wide single-spoke steering wheels. Sales of the DS began quickly, with 800 bookings in the first hour of the show and more than 79,000 in the entire show. The Citroen DS costs 940,000 Francs and buyers must pay a deposit of 80,000 Francs to take delivery.

Citroen

When it was first introduced in 1973, the DS was Citroen's flagship car. The 2.3-liter engine produced 115 horsepower with carburet and 128 horsepower when equipped to fuel injection. The car's performance was so high that the 118 mph speed limit on French highways was nothing more than a ballpark estimate. Citroen began developing a replacement DS in 1970s. Project L was developed by Citroen, which shared some visual cues with the midlevel GS and featured aerodynamic styling. Citroen opted against making another car before the DS was no longer available.

A technician who works on vehicles is an automotive technician. He/she is employed at automobile dealerships, garages, service centres, and auto shops. Customers can rely on him/her to fix their cars, trucks and motorcycles. An automotive technician must be capable of diagnosing problems and making repairs safely, accurately and efficiently.

An associate degree should be obtained from a vocational school if you wish to work as an auto technician. After completing this program, he/she must pass the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification exam. ASE stands for American Society of Mechanical Engineers. The ASE certification test consists two sections. The first section tests your mechanical skills, while the second tests your practical knowledge. To pass the test you must go to one of the authorized testing facilities. You can find these locations online or through your local automobile dealer.

Before becoming an automotive technician, a candidate must pass the test. This process varies depending on where the applicant lives. For example, some states require candidates to attend a training course, while others allow them to study independently. Some states issue licenses to technicians as soon as they get their license. Others wait until they have worked at least six months as an automotive technician.

To get started as an automotive technician, a person should apply to a local automotive dealership. Most employees who are hired start as apprentices. Apprenticeship programs typically last three to four years. This is when a student can learn how to do basic repairs such as changing oil, adjusting brakes and replacing tires. Some students will learn advanced repair techniques, such as changing shocks, installing air filters, and replacing engines. Classes are offered by most schools during regular business hours. Some schools offer evening classes, however.

When a student has completed his/her apprenticeship, they become a journeyman. Journeymen usually spend four to five year learning how to install major systems like transmissions, differentials steering gear, suspensions, drive shafts, and steering gear. They learn how to do complex repairs such as remanufacturing engines, rebuilding transmissives, and troubleshooting electronic components. Many employers prefer to hire Journeymen because they understand the job well.

After passing the exams, candidates may be eligible to open their own shop if they pass all requirements. According to Bureau of Labor Statistics (2010), almost 1.7million automotive mechanic jobs were on the market. The Bureau of Labor Statistics predicted that this number would rise by 18% from 2009 to 2020. The candidate should expect to invest thousands of money in equipment and supplies if he/she decides to start his/her shop.

The salary of an automotive technician will depend on many factors including where you live, your education level, experience and the type of employer. On average, an unemployed person could earn $20,000 annually. Someone who has only a highschool diploma could earn around 21,000 dollars per year. Associate's degrees earn approximately $24,000 per annum. Technicians with bachelor's degrees earn approximately $27,000 per year. Masters' degree holders earn around $32,000 per annum. Salary increases are common so professionals who make less than $30,000 a year could realistically expect to earn $40,000 over the next few years.
